China's Jet Engine Order Includes $400 Million For Pratt & Whitney

Pratt & Whitney is filling $400 million of an order for V2500 jet engines that China Eastern Airlines awarded to IAE International Aero Engines.

IAE is a multinational aero engine consortium that includes Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, the Japanese Aero Engines Corp. and MTU Aero Engines. Pratt & Whitney is part of United Technologies Corp.

The V2500 engine is used to power the Airbus A319, A320 and A321 as well as A319 corporate jet. Almost 5,500 V2500 engines are in service or on order.
