MOSCOW - The Sukhoi Superjet regional airliner has entered commercial service with Armavia, the Armenian national carrier. There are currently 17 aircraft in production at various stages of completion, including six in the final assembly shop. This year, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft plans to deliver a total of 13 aircraft. This is also the service entry of the PowerJet SaM146 turbofan, produced by a Snecma/Saturn partnership.
